Overland Group Safaris
Overland group safaris offer one way to experience Africa that is generally affordable and keeps you in touch with your surroundings. The mode of transportation is a specially built safari vehicle, designed to take the group off road at times, and to navigate the deep soft sands and flooded roads that may be encountered.
Not all overland safaris are the same, however. There are differences in group size, accommodations, and staffing, and ages and activities of the participants. On a participatory camping safari you are generally expected to help put up your tent and take it down, and help with some kitchen duties. Other overland safaris are fully staffed so that all of your time is free to enjoy your experience in the bush. With any overland safari there is time spent traveling between the areas of greatest interest. Sometimes the distances are long and tiring. In some cases you may be traveling through a game reserve and you will have more opportunities to observe wildlife. Other times you will travel through local communities and get a feel for life there.
With that introduction we present a choice of Overland Safaris to match your style.
