
Laguna Lodge
Laguna Lodge Tortuguero is a rain forest ecotourism lodge with an extra touch in style, comfort and personalized service. The lodge lies along Costa Rica's Northern Caribbean Coast, on a narrow strip of land between the sea and the Tortuguero Lagoon.
Features fifteen acres full of trees and tropical botanical gardens, a fresh water pool with outdoor jacuzzi and 80 rooms decorated with handcrafted wooden furniture. The hotel's homemade meals include a large variety of fresh tropical fruits and vegetables which are served at an open air terrace located in front of the Tortuguero Lagoon.
This small and cozy lodge was especially designed for the complete enjoyment of the natural marvels of the Tortuguero National Parks.

80 Standard rooms: furnished with all the basic elements for a comfortable stay, surrounded by lush gardens, private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fan, reading lamps and wooden benches outside the room.

Activities:
Day 01 San Jose - Tortuguero Early morning pick up for the drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast, where the three-hour boat trip to Tortuguero starts. A typical breakfast is served on the way. Tortuguero National Park preserves 21,000 hectares of tropical rain forest. The lodge will schedule boat trips into the jungle for wildlife observation with a local tour guide. (B/L/D)
Day 02 Tortuguero National Park Morning and afternoon boat trips through the canals of Tortuguero. (B/L/D)
Day 03 Tortuguero - San Jose After breakfast, return by boat to the dock near Limon, then overland to San Jose through Braulio Carrillo again. A typical lunch is served on the way. Your client may choose to fly back to San Jose. (B/L)
Food & Beverages:
The hotel's open air restaurant offers homemade food served buffet style: a variety of meats, fresh salads, fruits, vegetables and typical Caribbean dishes.

| How to get there: |
| Driving from San José, take the Atlantic Coast highway # 32 that passes through Braulio Carrillo National Park, Guápiles , Siquirres and Matina. There are no roads to Tortuguero, so you must take an exciting boat trip through the Tortuguero Canals. A hotel embarkation will pick you up either at Matina, Siquirres or Caño Blanco, depending on water level. |
