Bosque de Paz is a 1000 hectares, privately-owned reserve with a natural biological corridor that connects the Poas Volcano National Park with the Juan Castro Blanco National Park. The reserve has one of the richest ecosystems of the area, and is dedicated to conservation, research and education. The hotel limits its visitors to small groups to avoid any negative impact on the rainforest, and help increase the different preserved species.

BOSQUE DE PAZ also features personalized attention, gourmet meals and tailored tours. At "Coatimundi Terrace" guests can relax reading a good book and enjoy the Costa Rican snacks, natural drinks, premium coffee, and the 180-degree angle view of the rainforest.

The lodge has spacious comfortable rooms, with open terraces that offer fabulous views of the lush rainforest, and decorated with handcrafted iron works and Costa Rican pottery.

1 room: with one double bed and private bathroom
1 room: with one double bed, one twin bed, and private bathroom
1 family apartment: with 2 rooms, one double bed, three twin beds and one bathroom
1 junior suite with: a king size bed and a private bathroom.

Activities:
Guests will be amazed with the hummingbird gallery, the orchid garden and with the 336 species of birds they can watch on the area. They will discover the flora and fauna as they wander through the trails.

Food & Beverages:
The hotel’s restaurant offers homemade meals and gourmet Costa Rican traditional dishes, natural drinks, and premium coffee, with a 180-degree angle view to the garden and the forest. It offers vegetarian meals with previous request.
Location:
Central Volcanic Range, in Toro River Valley, between Poas Volcano and Juan Castro Blanco National Parks.
How to get there:
Pan American Highway to Naranjo- Zarcero- BOSQUE DE PAZ LODGE.
We recommend you to come before dusk. You start driving on the Pan-American Highway. After Grecia, you will find an exit to Naranjo, take this exit, and then you take the road to the town of Zarcero (25 minutes, approximately). Here, you will find the park in front of the Catholic Church, and in the corner after the park, take right hand 14 Kms. The distance from here to Bosque de Paz, is about 25 minutes. (Bosque de Paz is 1 mile before to arrive Bajos del Toro Amarillo small village). Do not take any secondary road. You will pass two small villages: Palmira and Pueblo Nuevo. Follow on the road, and when the asphalt road ends, continue only about 300 more meters on a good gravel road, and then you will see to the left a sign ''BOSQUE DE PAZ Reserva Biológica'', the guard house, and a black closed gate. Please honk, and our gatekeeper will welcome you.
