Corobici River Floating tour class I-II
Corobici River is perfect if you have been dreaming about the joys of white water rafting. The waters are not rough, but you have to work out to manage them. (the river is class I – II). The tour is two hours of rubber boat trip down the river which is bordered by tropical dry forest, where you will see trees like Ceiba, Mahogany and Guanacaste. You may see are exotic birds, Jesus Christ lizards and monkeys.

Before you board the rubber raft, a certified guide will instruct you on safety procedures.

Tenorio River rafting tour class  III-IV (*)
The Tenorio River will test you courage with its rapids class III and IV.  For those already rafters this trip is a must. Its continue challenges await you as you plunge through twists, turns, and drops  down 10 miles of intense, challenging rapids.  All participants must be  in a good physical condition.

This is a pure magic trip, unsurpassed beauty and stunning wildlife scenery that will take your breath away!

Colorado River rafting tour class II-III)

Palo Verde National Park (Tempisque River)
Palo Verde is one of the most important and interesting National Parks of Costa Rica.  It has 12 different habitats within the park including mangroves, swamps, swamps forests, saltwater and freshwater lagoons and marshes.  Enjoy a two hour-boat ride on the Tempisque River watching the fabulous array of wild birds and a myriad of creatures such as howler and white-faced monkeys, green iguanas and coatis, anteaters and crocodiles.

Combo Arenal Volcano (hiking + hot springs) (*)
The perfectly cone shaped volcano raises 4.899 feet above the sea level. It has been active since 1968, when it made its largest eruption. Its loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash during the day create a show that will stun you from miles away.

On your way there, you will ride through the heavenly landscape of Lake Arenal, a man made lake that provides water for an hydroelectric plant and for irrigation in the low lands of Guanacaste province during the dry season. You will have  the opportunity to enjoy a hiking  tour at the surroundings of the volcano, in an overview area called El Silencio. After that, you will experience the mineral hot springs.

After nightfall, the glow of flowing lava can be seen from several points in the area (if it´s not cloudy). During the tour it is possible to spot toucans, guans, oropendolas, monkeys and coatis.

Rincon de la Vieja National Park
This National Park was created to protect the biodiversity around Rincon de la Vieja Volcano area. It extends over 14083 hectares of semi-deciduous forest and very moist forest and includes a barren rocky terrain at altitudes that range from 1950 feet to 5748 feet above the sea level on the Caribbean and Pacific sides of the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range. Fumaroles, hot mud pools and the eerie steam holes of Las Pailas create an amazing landscape.

The hiking tour takes about two hours. During this hiking you will get to see the secondary Waterfall, which is about 195 feet high and is located on a rocky terrain devastated by the volcanic eruptions.

The tour not only provides the opportunity to appreciate Rincon de la Vieja´s geothermal wonders, it also allows a close view of an ancient forest hundreds of years old. Huge trees protect spider monkeys, leaf-cutter ants, toucans and all kind of great and small creatures.  *The park is closed on Mondays

Buena Vista combo (canopy + water slide + horseback riding to hot springs)
Buena Vista is located near by Rincon de la Vieja National Park. In this tour you will enjoy the primary forest on a different way: trails built up in the top of the trees (about 105 feet high). A small hike takes you to the first platform, from there you start swinging to the other 12 platforms, which are connected by 9 cables from 150 to 400 feet long.

During the canopy, that last almost three hours, you will have the opportunity to observe the surrounding forest from a new perspective…. just like Tarzan!! Then, it is time to cool off on the 1200 ft. long water slide.

After having lunch at the Lodge, we start the third part of the tour: Horseback riding to the thermal waters, steambath and natural spa, located at the foot of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Here, you will enjoy the rejuvenating treatments with volcanic mud and mineral waters.
On your way there you will enjoy the wildlife of a transitional forest ( between dry and rain forest), where you might be able to spot monkeys, squirrels and a variety of butterflies and birds such as wood peckers and toucans.

Celeste River guided rainforest hike
A legend tells that after God was done panting the sky, he washed the brushes in Rio Celeste (River Light Blue). Rio Celeste is one of the most wonderful places where you can observe flora and fauna. Once in the Tenorio National Park you will begin hiking through a primary forest with your naturalist guide who will tech you about the jungle and point out troops of howler monkeys prancing in the branches along with many other animals. You will have a strong hike in a real wild trail and a full contact with rain forest, with the naturist guide tour can explain you about everything that you see.  As you descend you will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall with its unique blue color.

Horseback riding tour
We usually begin this tours at the beach.  After a few minutes, we will be able to gallop and walk the horses on the beach, soon after we will ride across the forest were we might observe: birds, iguanas and monkeys. This tour is the best option to be in harmony with the nature, Our horses are trained to be ride by children and people without experience (they are very docile).

From other hotels an extra fee will apply.

Barra Honda Caves hike
Hike in the Barra Honda National Park have main attraction is an intricately large system of limestone caverns which house a multitude of capricious forms and figures.  Reef rocks constitute Barra Honda hill, of 300mts tall, which means, by old reefs that sink caused by an elevation provoked by tectonics faults 60 millions of years ago.  You can enjoy of this caves and see the flora and fauna of this place, you can see coatis, agutis, anteaters and monkeys also point out species of tree and medical plants.

These Hike takes around one hour approx and this hike is difficult, because depending on your physical fitness.  This tour is available on Fridays.

Canoe  outriggers (*)
Very exciting trip paddling in Hawaiian Canoes (outriggers) by the Pacific Ocean with a perfect view of the coast with its exuberant flora and fauna, from our location to a secluded beach, where your will do different activities, some of them snorkeling on corals, nature walking, beach combing, hermit crab races, with bottled water and a fruit buffet on the beach.

Congo Trail Canopy Tour
After one hour driving approximately, we arrive at the site, where a tropical – dry forest and its high trees are surrounded the area. Once we get there the tour guides will get you ready for the ride of your life. After a short hike we will come to the first platform, ready for instructions to start flying down the suspended cables.

During the tour we will come across a walk bridge between two platforms, this is a truly exhilarating and exciting experience. If we are lucky even the Howler Monkeys will be our company during a part of the canopy.

Pinilla  canopy tour
The Canopy Tour is located 11 km from Tamarindo Beach on the way to Avellanas- Playa Negra Beach in a town named San Jose de Pinilla.   The tour starts by picking up the clients at their respective hotel and then brings them to San Jose de Pinilla. When you arrive to the guides points the installations and prepares you for the zip line and harnesses you up.  A safety briefing is given in order to know instructions to have a safe and fun canopy tour. Now your adventure through the tropical dry forest starts and the 10 platforms with 8 cables, including 1 school cable- await you in the top of the trees.

You can admire nature and possibly spot birds, monkeys and reptiles and learn about the tropical dry forest, as you reach as high 75 feet on cables that goes from 120 to 600 feet long.

Guaitil pottery shopping tour
Guaitil is a small village located just outside Santa Cruz, the primary center of Costa Rican folklore. In this town, people make clay pots by hand, decorate them with the earth´s natural colors and fire them in giant wood-burning ovens, just as their ancestors, the Chorotega Indians, did. The Chorotegas, is a group of Indians who ruled the land between Lake Nicaragua and the Nicoya Peninsula.

Here, pottery will be shown in all kind of shapes and sizes.

Colonial Grana & Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua
This is one of the most popular tours to Nicaragua. You will have the opportunity to visit Granada, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, as well as walk on the edge of an active volcano. Finish off the tour by doing some local shopping before returning to Costa Rica. The city of Granada was founded in 1524 by the Spaniard Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. Despite being besieged by pirates several times, destroyed during the civil wars and set on fire by the American filibuster William Walker in 1856, it continues to be one of the most beautiful cities in Nicaragua. You will have the opportunity to tour Granada and admire its colonial and historic landmarks and its beautiful architecture. In the afternoon, you will visit Masaya Volcano National Park. The grounds of this national park include the basaltic volcano itself, an interpretation museum exploring the park’s natural phenomena, and the famous Santiago crater. You will have the opportunity to walk to the very edge of the volcano and look all the way down to the bottom. You will also have time to do some shopping at the Masaya Indian Market, where you can look for wonderful Nicaragua souvenirs before returning to Costa Rica. Here, pottery will be shown in all kind of shapes and sizes.
