From the wildlife and nature lover's point of view there are two major regions to visit in Brazil:
the Amazon and the Pantanal.
| Expedition Cruise into the Central Amazon Ecological Corridor, the Newest and Largest Park in the Amazon. Currently there is only one cruise vessel that conducts expedition cruises deep into this reserve: The Motor Yacht Tucano. Our trips go beyond the touristy experience of most cruises. We go much farther into the forest and visit areas rarely if ever visited by other groups. We see creatures that are almost never seen on other Amazon trips. | Located in central-western Brazil, the Pantanal is a mosaic of seasonally-flooded savannahs and tropical forests. It is almost 10 times the size of the Everglades. The Pantanal is also one of the world’s most productive habitats. Annual floods, fed by tropical rains, create a giant nursery for life. As the waters recede in the dry season, the Pantanal attracts a great influx of birds and other animals. The seasonally flooded savannahs and tropical forests offer some of the finest wildlife viewing in Latin America. |  |
